Can No Hair Down There Really Help You Bag A Boyfriend? Maybe So Says Patti Stanger!
By Alison Blackman aka. “Lace“
This isn’t earth-shattering news, but how far should a should a girl really go when cleaning up “downtown?” Is the Brazilian still a must-do? While porn stars have made the Brazilian something a lot of men expect all women to want, not all women do. The Brazilian is still popular, and it’s unlikely that the style will be “back to the bush” any time soon. However, if you want to be trendy, the new look is to keep a bit more body hair (as long as it’s under control). Here are Leather and Lace Advice Tips for doing it yourself while taking it off this Summer, with some new products from Completely Bare:
Check out the Wax On The Go Go Travel Wax Kit By Completely Bare ($9.99) It has everything you need to remove hair where you don’t want it. If you’re “in the moment” or find yourself at the beach or pool and you haven’t had time to shave or wax, you can take one of these strips and quickly clean up. It’s great for travel too, because this kit won’t take up all the room in your suitcase. It’s easy to use, and if you follow the Leather and Lace DIY Tips for hair removal below, you’ll get this chore done quickly, easily, and without too much of a hassle.
The Completely Bare Wax on the Go Go Travel Kit has both face and bikini waxing essentials:
18 strips (6 bikini, 12 face);
2 completely off towelettes;
1.7oz Don’t Grow There Moisturizer & Hair Inhibitor
The Summer is the time to show a lot more skin, but that means getting rid of hair under your arms and on your legs. Completely Bare’s new Moisturizing No-Bump Shave Gel 6.0 oz ($9.99) helps keep your legs smooth without developing nasty, ingrown bumps. The Hypo-allergenic formula is good for all skin types, and you can use it on legs, bikini and underarms. It also has a fresh scent that both you and that special someone will like and the flip top tube has cute graphics that make it a bit more fun to use in bath or shower. To attract the guys, Patti Stanger suggests showing of those newly-smooth legs with a mini skirt and pointy heels but we think you should wear whatever makes you feel sexy and confident even if it’s rhinestone encrusted ballerina flats (because you are going to be walking all day) or sundress and strappy sandals.
Want to Wax at Home? Sometimes there just isn’t enough time (or budget) to schedule a visit to a salon, so here are some quick tips from Leather and lace Advice to help you remove hair from your bikini area effectively and safely:
If you are sensitive, waxing at home can be challenging,. Gather some guts and tell yourself it’s worth the effort, because it is! Waxing is really the best way to remove hair and keep it from growing back too quickly. If you are not pain-tolerant, take some ibuprofen an hour beforehand. It may be counter-intuitive, but the hair has to be at least a quarter of an inch long (fine hair) or half an inch long (coarse hair) so there is something for the wax strip to grab. You need to see what you are doing, so prop a mirror up in front of you. Bend one leg so your foot rests on the opposite knee (or as close as you can get to that pose). Start at the edge and spread the wax in the direction your hair grows, in SMALL sections. Smooth the wax strip over the area, Pull the skin taut, and yank the strip back in the opposite direction of the hair growth. Don’t hesitate or you’ll cause more pain and stress than doing it fast, like ripping off a band-aid. Then smooth on some soothing aloe or a cream specifically made for after-waxing. The All in One Travel Wax Kit has a Don’t Grow There Moisturizer & Hair Inhibitor for after-waxing.
